Architectural Request

Most associations have architectural guidelines for maintaining harmony and assuring original integrity of the exterior residents through out your neighborhood. The governing documents provide architectural guidelines control to your association which are typically governed by a committee or by the board of directors. These guidelines can be modified from time to time, so it’s a good idea to be familiar with your guidelines and work with the committees when making any exterior changes.

We understand that sometimes you’d like to start off a weekend swinging a hammer, starting a new project, being creative. Before plunging into your project, ensuring architectural approval before starting your project will reduce confusion, misunderstanding, frustration, time and additional expenses.

The approval process is to help ensure the construction or modification is in compliance and harmony, sometimes requiring city building permits for ensuring proper construction. A well constructed, approved, property built residential modification can feel really good knowing it was done right, with approval, the first time. We are here to help you on your journey.

To obtain an Architectural Modification form, log in into your account then go to “documents” tab to down load the “Architectural modification” PDF form.

How the Process Works

Step 1

APPLY

Submission of Application for exterior improvement.
Requirements: Application, lot survey with proposed improvement, pictures, paint colors, materials, drawings, any necessary city permits.
Step 2

UPLOAD

Project is uploaded into ARC review online software.
Review committee is notified of the new project for their review.
Step 3

REVIEW

Architectural Committee reviews project based on application and architectural guidelines.
Step 4

VOTE

Architectural Committee votes on project. Possible Decisions:

Approval
Approval with Conditions
Disapproval
Request additional information

Step 5

DECISION

Decision is emailed or mailed to homeowner and uploaded into our compliant software.

If approved, owner may begin their project.

Each application is unique and time will vary. The application is quickly and efficiently uploaded to our online system. Email notifications are sent to committee members, email reminders are periodically sent until a decision is reached. Normally, the more complete a residents application the quicker the committee can understand the scope of the modification and make a decision.
